Delegates and Artists Webinar and Gathering: 10 Year Legacy

It’s ZiguZajg Festival’s 10th anniversary, and we’re having a reunion! During this webinar Festival team members past and present will share some of the wonderful experiences and memories made over the past 10 years of the festival. To do this, we will start by premiering our 10 Year Anniversary documentary on facebook a project that celebrates the passion and love that all the artists, collaborators, and directors have for ZiguZajg.. Following this, we will have a panel discussion together with three former artistic directors as well as the current artistic director to go over the initial vision of the festival, cultural policies, how the festival progressed throughout the years, the challenges and benefits and where the festival is at now, and the future. To close this BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION, we will open the call for everyone to ask questions and to share with us an experience or two. Towards the end, we have a special SURPRISE for those joining.

Delegates and Artists Webinar: Accessibility

In this panel discussion, we will be inviting industry professionals along whose primary focus is producing accessible work. The panellists will share their experiences, and will talk about the way projects have been tackled from their end and why, and success regarding creating successful accessible work with or for children and young people with special needs. The discussion promises to generate awareness and questions which will help creatives and those interested in the sector understand the importance of creating accessible work.

  2. Paula Cassar – Paediatric Occupational Therapist and our very own Accessibility Officer
  3. Lucy C Hayward – A playwright focused on creating plays which are accessible for blind and visually impaired audiences without relying on audio description

Delegates and Artists Webinar: Programming for the Future
Thursday 26th at 10:30am – 12:00pm (CET)

In this webinar ZiguZajg together with some of the world’s best known international festival  directors for children and young people will discuss and explore new ways on how festivals are or will be programmed in the near future. 2020 has indeed been quite a challenging one and many like us working in the youth and children’s theatre, dance sector over the past few months have had to adapt and come up with new innovative ideas to reach an adequate level of artistic excellence. The panellists will share a presentation and have a discussion about previous and current work, they will also tackle how to approach current programming, programming for the future and how to have a strategic strategy in place.

Delegates and Artists Webinar: From Page to Stage
Saturday 28th at 10:30 am – 12:00pm (CET)

In this panel discussion, we will be talking to three young inspiring and ambitious theatre and dance professionals whose primary focus is producing work for children and young people. The title says it all. The panellists will talk us through different ways to tackle the initial stages of a project and the five famous Ws. The discussion promises to be inspirational and motivational to those who either are or aspire to become professional theatre or dance-theatre seeking to see their vision through to the stage.
